Cinnamon apple chips



Prep time 15 mins - Total time 15 mins Serves: 6 servings

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 organic apples (I prefer McIintosh or red delicious)

  • Juice from 1 lemon

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon


INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees, or set up dehydrator if you have one

  2. Wash and de-stem apples.

  3. Core the apples if you wish, or leave the core for fun star patterns in your chips

  4. Using a mandoline or knife, carefully slice apples into ⅛" slices

  5. Place all apple slices into a large bowl and sprinkle with lemon juice, carefully tossing so all slices are covered

  6. Arrange apple slices on a dehydrator tray or on a lined baking sheet

  7. Sprinkle evenly with cinnamon, flipping to cover both sides

  8. Dehydrator: turn on to 135 degrees for 6 - 8 hours, until crispy

  9. Oven: bake for 2-3 hours, flipping once, until chips are crispy
